The Pakistan Junior League 2022 is an under-19 league that was softly launched on April 14, 2022. It was a dream of PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja. Players under 19 can play in this T20 league. Its purpose is to polish the skills and professional behavior of young players.
It is a city-based, franchise-based t20 format league in which six teams will play 19 matches. These six teams are named Bahawalpur Royals, Hyderabad Hunters, Gujranwala Giants, Gwadar Sharks, Mardan Warriors, and Rawalpindi Raiders. The 15-member squad is finalized for all teams.
The PCB has chosen Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, as the PJL venue. Qaddafi stadium has hosted 6 WorldCup matches, including one final between Sri Lanka and Australia.
Pakistan Junior League Information
The PJL players were chosen through two channels. One was to upload videos on Twitter. That video should represent your unique talent. The applicants uploading videos had to use the assigned tags by PCB.
The other method of selection was to draft the players based on their previous cricket records in domestic and national cricket.
After the soft launch of PJL T20 2022, PCB wrote letters to all cricketing boards to participate in the Pakistan Junior League. They all welcomed this invitation and participated. Almost 24 players from different boards are selected. Four players will play on every teams.

Pakistan Junior League Teams Information
On September 8, 2022, the PJL draft process commenced, and 15 players squad for each category were drafted. Among the 15 players on each team, there are four foreign players. Each player in the Pakistan Junior League selected is assigned a category. There are three categories for the PJL players, named Elite, Premier, and X-factor.
Pakistan Junior League Mentors
PCB has appointed Pakistani and foreign legend cricketers as the mentors of six PJL teams. Javed Miandad is the leading mentor of all these teams. Sir Viv Richards, Shahid Afridi, Darren Sammy, Imran Tahir, Colin Munro, and Shoaib Malik are the PJL mentors.
